Fuji Friday: Hourglass Fuji

On this final Friday of 2014, I am posting my painting of Fuji contained within an hourglass. Machiavelli once wrote, "The more sand has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it." I suppose that may be the origin of that old saying "Hindsight is 20/20".  This December 26th, I have been considering some personal triumphs.  I have also wandered off into morbid reflection on my shortcomings. I am relieved to have remembered a useful bit of advice given to me some thirty years ago. I will share it with you... "Look back, but don't stare."
