For the past two, going on three years I have been involved in the production of work that has been inspired by isolation and a longing for better days to come.
How are these better days likely to manifest?
I just don't know.
I have considered the value of Good Luck Charms, and developed an interest in representing strange phenomenon. The unexplained and unexplainable hold a fair amount of fascination for me. They are after all, unexplainable.
I am using more primary colors, and eschewing the kind of obsessive detail I have employed in a lot of my work over the past ten years.
I am painting images that delight me.
